Screen Printing
Screen printing is one of the oldest printing techniques. Over the years various new screen printing methods have been developed. There are water-based, non-toxic inks that give fantastic print results. The art of screen printing is taken to the next level by using hand block printing.
This video “Es braucht ein Motiv & und einen Hut.” takes a look into the methods used in the art of hand block printing.
Letterpress
All my prints are made using an original Heidelberger Platen Press. It’s not small and handy, but it is reliable and extremely melodic (and sounds great/and has makes those great industrial machine sounds). Most impressive is how accurate this classic machine from 1954 embosses, prints, punches, perforates or numbers. The print results stand out due to it’s texture and the intensity of the colours. Recieving a letterpressed business card is not merely an advertisement, it’s a gift.
Frames
I work exclusivly with original antique frames that I collect at fleamarkets and from various dealers. Even if the perfect frame isn’t always available just bring your artwork to the shop and we together will work out the best solution for you.
Come to me in the shop with your artwork and I will find a beautiful solution with you.
